Significant Risk Transfer ("SRT") is an attractive risk-adjusted, low volatility, uncorrelated asset class for sophisticated investors. SRT trades allow investors to access 'core' bank loan credit risk of global depository institutions. These investments perform well through the cycle and emphasize capital preservation. As a synthetic solution, the security allows the investor to isolate specific credit risks on much larger institutions.
For banks, SRT provides a non-dilutive, comparatively inexpensive capital solution that helps the institution manage risk capital at both the firm and business level.
